The platform combines AI-driven material intelligence with existing recycling infrastructure to improve recovery efficiency, reduce carbon impact, and strengthen circular economy performance.
The project also supports wider international priorities around sustainable resource recovery and responsible e-waste management highlighted by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the UNITAR Global E-waste Monitor, which reports that global e-waste is rising five times faster than documented recycling efforts.
By transforming e-waste from a disposal challenge into a strategic resource, RECLAIM-WISE aims to support more resilient, data-driven, and sustainable recovery systems.
